چکیده

We propose an original method to monitor insulin adsorption by EOF mobility measurements. Kinetics have been real-time recorded by particle anemometry in a Wheastone microfluidic bridge. Hybrid glass/photosensitive PDMS/glass microfluidic chips were fabricated to perform mixed hydrodynamic and electrophoretic cycles, with different insulin concentrations. From the real-time measurements the constants of adsorption kinetics were determined by fitting the extracted data according the Langmuir model. This platform offers accurate results even at 10 M insulin concentration.

Kinetics, Thermodynamics and Equilibrium Studies on Adsorption of Reactive Red 198 from Textile Wastewater by Coral Limestone as a Natural Sorbent

Abstract Introduction: Dyes are among the most hazardous chemicals in industrial wastesdue to their toxicity for aquaculture, reduction of light permeability, and in turn development of disorders in photosynthesis process. The current study aimed to investigate the efficiency of coral in removing red reactive 198 from textile dye wastewater was investigated. Materials & Methods: In this e...

Microfluidic Dynamic Interfacial Tensiometry (μDIT).

We designed, developed and characterized a microfluidic method for the measurement of surfactant adsorption kinetics via interfacial tensiometry on a microfluidic chip. The principle of the measurement is based on the deformability of droplets as a response to hydrodynamic forcing through a series of microfluidic expansions. We focus our analysis on one perfluoro surfactant molecule of practica...

Drug Discovery Acceleration Using Digital Microfluidic Biochip Architecture and Computer-aided-design Flow

A Digital Microfluidic Biochip (DMFB) offers a promising platform for medical diagnostics, DNA sequencing, Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), and drug discovery and development. Conventional Drug discovery procedures require timely and costly manned experiments with a high degree of human errors with no guarantee of success. On the other hand, DMFB can be a great solution for miniaturization, int...

Kinetics adsorption of Amoxicillin from aqueous solution by Graphen Oxide- Gold nanoparticles (GO-AuNPs) nanocomposite as novel adsorbent

In this research, Graphene Oxide- Gold nanoparticles (AuNP/GO) were easily fabricated by a redox reaction between GO and chloroauric acid without using any additional reductant and then used to stabilize Pickering emulsions. (AuNP/GO) was investigated by FT-IR spectroscopy. The changes of parameters such as contact time, pH, Amoxicillin initial concentration and temperature were tested and inve...
